BMW M Power App for the iPhone

Reading the reviews on iTunes, it does seem to over estimate the 0-60. Still, its a freebie and more of a fun ap then a serious measuring tool. Anyhow I wont complain if my non ///m 3l zed can do 0-60 in less then 5 sec :D

I've had iPhone for 2 months now and although I've managed customize the phone a bit more now, its phone function is no where near as good as other phones. No customizable predictive text, blutooth cant be switched on/off with short cut (anyone wanna make an app?), ringtones has to be bought (there are 3rd party programs to convert fron CD if you dont mind taking the risk of downloading unknown files), video clips cant be linked to user id (even my old old sony phone from 3 years ago could do this!), if you send SMS to a group of people and it fails half way through and if you "retry" it sends txt again to people in the group who has already got the txt (my mate had 7 same txt from me yesterday as I had to retry so many times).

Alarm will only work if the alarm app is running (i.e. you have to leave it on the alarm and cant use any other apps). The photo album is uneditable on iPhone unless its a photo taken by the phone. Music cannot be sent via blutooth either. Did I mention the camera is stil vastly inferior to current phones?

On the good side, I like grouping of txts & answer phones. Apps are largely good fun, and some are very useful - like shopping list, Sky sport TV, unit converter, emails, weather etc etc. The web browser is decent with wifi as well. Having said that, although I think it is hugely entertaining, there is very little on iPhone I couldn't live without as a phone.

Maybe i made the right decision ont to get the iphone then - i feel better now

This app is a bit pap in my opinion. there are loads like it and they all give inaccurate results. the best thing about it though is having the M logo on your iphone apps, looks cool.

That's not quite correct - the Alarm will work fine whether the app is open or not. You should see a little alarm clock symbol in the top right to show there's an alarm active, sounds like perhaps it needs a prod :)

Yeah, you need to convert it to itune's ringtone format (cant remember what its called), and cut it to <30 sec. I've tried to convert it simply by changing its file name but itunes wouldn't recognise it. In the end I had to use iRinger.exe to cut & convert - done its trick and seems virus free so far.

Cant see why Apple feels the needs to make it difficult for the customers when all the other phones will let you link any music stored on the phone to ringtone.....

I think they're trying to help rid our public spaces of noise pollution. YMCA as a ringtone is funny the first time your colleague leaves his/her phone unattended on their desk... after 3 days you start to eye up letter openers and wonder if you can get away with on the grounds of diminished responsibilities... :)

I'll stick to Dynolicious!
http://dynolicious.com/

I've always found Dynolicious to be quite accurate too! :)

Another favourite if you like this sort of thing is the amazing Rev: http://www.devtoaster.com/products/rev/

You need an OBDII feed from the car for that however, which will cost around 200quid - ouch. On the plus side it's useful for any vehicle and can let you check OBD fault codes etc.

Oh yeah, sorry you are right - I forgot I use non OEM alarm app which allows me to choose stored music as alarm but instead will only work if I left he app running.....
