On this forum one of the most repeated things to newbies, including myself at the start, was heated seats a must in a roadster in the U.K., particularly Scotland. I listened to this, then immediately discounted multiple nice cars because they didn’t have this feature, with this I could have bought any of those cars and factored a £100-£200 one off payment to get the heated seats if not spec’d by original purchaser.
I agree its a neat idea. My pre-facelift E85 doesn't have heated seats and I admit it almost stopped me buying it. I subsequently decided to look for heated seats to swap out and even installed the appropriate dash control panel. Since then I've gone cold on the idea ( ) as I honestly don't think they would do much for me (and I go top down whenever its not looking like imminent rain, whatever the time of year). That said I would love the option of a heated steering wheel cos hands do get really cold in winter with the top down. I might have light heartedly scoffed at yours Andy but I think its a brilliant option!
