I have the same jack - works very well.

Not sure I'm convinced by the jack pad though, given that the car is in effect fitted with them already.

It's not fitted with them - the standard BMW scissor jack has a rectangular top that fits into the recess on the cill, the jack pad replicates this for a trolly jack

Is this the same jack but in a different colour, if so by the time you've added VAT & delivery to the SGS one they are pennies apart.

Shouldn't be necessary, two and four post lifts have large pads that spread the load evenly over a larger area.

But the "recess" is formed in a consumable plastic block that can be replaced for a few quid, what real advantage do you get be adding an additional layer of plastic?

The link above doesn't however it does come in a pretty sturdy cardboard box which I have used to carry mine around in for a while.

Just received mine (at £4.99!) checked a couple of the jacking points under the car and found they have suffered damage from use, these will definitely prevent further damage. Wish now I'd bought two before the price went up.
The number he's sold through the Forum, we should have got a discount.
 
ekimj10, how long from order placement to delivery please?, I ordered mine last night & I'm hoping it will be here tomorrow as my Zed goes in for some work on Thursday, I'd like to be able to pass it across to my trusted mechanic for him to use.
 
Ordered on 3rd, received this mornings post. The 3rd was a Sunday so that's pretty impressive service. Gave him some good feedback!

You should be OK, seems pretty reliable seller.
Just looked at our Series 1 jacking points (which these also fit) another good reason should have bought two, the plugs fit OK but the jacking point is a different design and has suffered virtually no damage (unlike the Z), both cars are 10 years old so the usage is about the same.
 
Just had a notification it's been shipped :thumbsup: , I'm really surprised the 1 series has been around 10 years, doesn't seem that long since it was launched.
