BMW Iphone App

Is anyone here using this app? I ask as i appear unable to use it to lock/unlock the car and when I was in Spain and car was in UK all the app showed me was where my phone was :o
 
Do you have the internet option on your car? As far as I am aware, it will only work if you have that.
 
I think it only shows the car location if you are within 2KM of the car. Dont know if the lock/unlock is linked? Even when near the car I've found this feature slow and intermittent.

Have you got idrive on your new one?
 
Just slightly off topic but sort of related; has anyone got the BMW AUC app on iPhone? I have but it hasn't worked for months, just briefly opens and then closes, no update available either. Is it my phone or just the app's failings...?
 
Thanks for the replies. I have Idrive and internet with the car and it is correct that for some dumb reason the location service is only supposed to work within 1.5 miles. However, even within this distance it only shows me where the phone is!!! Seems to be a surprisingly useless app for a company like BMW :headbang:

Yep. We also have a 1'er with idrive and its on my connected drive account. My app can show both cars (not at the same time).

It works on mine, just slow! It shows the phone quickly, but can take a minute or two for the car to show.

The little blue circle is your phone, and the blue arrow with white circle is the car.

I've got that. Try uninstalling it and reinstalling.
