BMW Insured Warranty - after 60k miles

Must be the M that does it. Just renewed my warranty for the first time - 50K miles - £360 with £100 excess and no Emergency Service. Nice to know about the 60k break, will renew monthly next year.
Would not touch BMW Emergency with a bargepole. Had that on a 3 series. Called them out twice. Once at a weekend when the roof stuck halfway. After 3 hours, a non-BMW guy turned up, used my allen key to manually wind the roof up and told me to take it to the BMW stealer after the weekend. Second time flat battery in the evening. Again a non-BMW guy turned up after a couple of hours to say he didn't carry the special BMW boot battery and that he would return in the morning to jump start the car as (yes again) the stealers were shut. Got the car to the stealers next day. They daid they couldn't just replace the battery ( I had only had the car 3 weeks) as they had to carry out extensive tests for a day or two on existing battery. After much argument, they said they would arrange a hire car - but expected me to pay up front and walk the 5 miles to the car hire firm. After even louder arguing, they reluctantly agreed to fit a new battery.
Personally, I use Britannia Rescue. Covers self and spouse in any car for the UK and named car or cars abroad. Kids called them out regularly, no problems.
But, if you are doing a lot of European travel, how about ADAC? My sons are Nurburgring fanatics and they use ADAC. No problem in the UK and efficiently returned one son with car after blowing his engine on the ring last year.

I think I was lucky and got in before that new clause came in, or before they started enforcing it, as it now says they can increase the monthly premium once a year.Z4Bob said:

I called them and they asked if the car was drivable, I said it was but the engine was cutting out at lower & lower revs/throttle positions. It was currently cutting out at anything over 25% throttle and/or 3000rpm and I'd stopped at an autobahn parking area. They still asked me to drive it back to the hotel near the 'Ring as they would be a few hours anyway. So I nursed it back to the hotel and the rev limit hadn't dropped any further.
4 hours later the truck arrives and asks me which dealership I want it taken & left at???
I asked them about repatriation and they said it was still drivable so that wasn't an option. I thought there was no way it would do the 400 miles to the ferry, nor the 300 miles home on the other side. The recovery driver asked a few questions and then said "Either it goes to a garage, or it stays here". So I told him where to go and called the ADAC call centre back.
ADAC offered to send another recovery truck to take it to a local garage but that was all.
It was Britannia I got the car covered with when I got back home.
Driving at an imposed 70mph for 4 hours straight is not fun, although I did get over 30mpg from it, and it went lower and lower along the trip back home. I say home, but it went to my indy in Essex instead.
