You only know because BMW did the work and I assume it possibly wasn't via the insurance and was paid for by the customer. If it hadn't of been repaired by BMW and was carried out by a different body shop you'd never know.

How are you going to check all other cars you look at?

The only way to guarantee its not crash damaged is to buy it new.

Just to clarify some of the miss information in this thread. if the vehicle had been repaired at BMW Bodyshop, they have a record of it, whether its paid for by the customer or through their insurance company is utterly and completely irrelevant.

"where are people getting their info from on here at the moment? Some of the comments on damage repairs are just puzzling"

Bore off mate, you sound like and appear to be a troll!

 Think before you speak them in future! :poke:

If you have nothing more to add then I suggest you stop posting pointless posts which are clearly aimed as me as you seem to have taken some dislike to me and what I have to say. Wether you agree with it or not. Not everything you post is factual and a percentage of what you've 'spouted' in this thread is also based on 'Your Assumptions' for which you have nothing to back it up, just like me.

Just move on. I have no time for you and your childish antics.

END OF!

I've assumed nothing, I've checked my facts, so I think your assumption that I've made assumptions is both arrogant and pathetic
So stop trolling me like you did in the first place that started this and it is you that can bore off and stop talking crap!

My car has a similar gap there. I have seen a few Zs with the same thing, I think it's pretty normal, not very pleasing on the eye though.

I would like to tighten it up a little. How exactly would you go about adjusting it?

You lift the bonnet and unclip the inner arch liner, it's quite flexible and with an extension bar and a 10mm socket, iirc you can loosen the nut slightly which allows you to push the bumper slightly closer and higher before tightening it back up.

You can also get the gap between the light and bumper closer too when doing this.

Edit - you'll also need a spanner to hold the bolt at the front. You can get access to it when you get under the wheel arch liner. I'll see if I can get some pictures in the morning

Thank you. I'll be out with the spanners tomorrow!

Wonder how long you'll be doing this for. I started and each time I thought that will do I ended up going back to it thinking 'just a little bit more' until I got to the point where I overdid it so had to let it back out/down ever so slightly.
