sold the z4 now,i bought the scanner new to diagnosed an over heating prob, i tried 3x sensors ect because it was intermittant fault and bmw guy said it was probably a sensor but once i plugged it in showed a faulty thermostat and sure enough when i took it off, a PLASTIC???? leg holding one side of the spring had broken off,so it paid for itself,bought it 7 weeks ago will take £70.00 including postage to any in uk with royal mail or call and collect,it tells you the fault in bmw codes, not generic codes that then have to translated,it also tells you what the name of faulty part e.g. 'thermostat',you can reset things like airbag lights ect, you can call on 07917332766.
