BMW Extended warranty

Will BMW not give you an extended warranty if you dont have a full BMW service history?
I take it on the M cars the 1200 mile/1 month service is a must for being done at the correct mileage/time and if this is out they wont let you take out an extended warranty full stop?

Reason i ask is that this M Coupe http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1386897.htm is near me and the 1200 mile service was carried out at 12 miles!

Can someone put up the prices that BMW charge for an extended warranty with certain amounts of excess, i'm interested in the M and 3.0Si prices. Thanks. :thumbsup:
 
Oh and can you take out the extended warranty even if your 3yr manufacturer warranty has expired a week, month, year etc earlier?

BMW warranty has to be taken out before 3Yr Manufacutrers expires.
 
I thought this changed over 12 months ago in that you could take it out even if there was a gap between the manufacturers finishing and the extended starting....or has it changed back again to not allowing this or am i thinking of Porsche....hmm. :?

I take it if you buy an AUC car you can take extended warranty after the 12 months AUC warranty expires?
Is the AUC warranty effectively the same as the fully comp extended warranty with £0 excess?
 
there are threads on this.

AUC warranty is superior to the extended. Covers pretty much everything (apart from hoses). AUC even tip top (as I have discovered to my disappointment), does not include a lot. Exhaust and battery to name just 2. £48 a month with zero excess.
 
I have just been on to BMW and got a quotation for Comprehensive, Named components and a basic level of warranty. My car is 3 months out of warranty but provided you have had continuous servicing and MOT if applicable then the cover is offered.

The dearest/cheapest option (they differ based on whether you want £0, £100 or £250 excess is £620 or £393 per year.

The number to call for a quote is 0871 2000 199

Not an M though...think the top option is £850 a year.

Why do i always find myself looking at M cars.... :?
Cant afford the M Coupe (or rather a non-modified or dodgy service history one) so kinda looking at the M Roadster again.

Average mileage but half decent price when you factor in a half decent spec and 12 months AUC warranty / 12 months MOT.
 
£18K and a dealer warranty, bargain. Come on Duckson, you've been to the dark side before, sell the kids/wife/kidney/house. You know it makes sense :rofl:
 
Might give them a ring in a bit, would have to give me an idea over the phone on how much they'd give me for the Cooper S....also that MR would be coming up its Inspec 2, i'd want that done!
 
Might have 6,000 miles to Insp 2 which will cost £1,000 ish. Good bargaining tool to either get the price down another £500 or agree they will do the insp 2 for £500 when it's due. Car seems pretty well priced anyway for a dealer.
 
They are finding out as we speak, if its within 4k its included. The salesman said it has had front and rear pads changed though and tyres have more than 3mm of tread left or they would of been changed.
As a starter got an ok price on the Cooper S as well, he's trying to get another one from his own Mini dealer.
