BMW Extended Warranty

My car's warranty will expire in February. Comprehensive with no excess and no emergency service will be £41 per month. With £100 excess, it will be £9 more a month. My car has done 51k miles.

Why would it be more expensive if you increase the excess?

I've bottled out and gone for the maximum and most expensive cover. Peace of mind will be nice to have though.

will have to report back if any work needs doing...there seem to be a fair few exclusions. Still, one fault could easily cost £500...
