AW = Arbeitswerte or Work Values. There are 12 AW/hr so 1 AW is 6 mins. So your job was 20 * 6 or 120mins.

HTH
60 ÷ 12 is 5 (as I said previously) :poke:

American or imperial minutes? :p

Dumb error, apologies. I'm tired.
Maybe its navigational minutes?

True. Can we find a way to add nautical miles and really confuse the poor chap
How about knots? e.g. what has the BMW dealer KNOT done this time?

Just to put things into perspective, I had the boot wiring loom fail on the Z3 a while back knocking out third brake light and central locking. I ordered a new loom from BM Miniparts at £120 and then got my local BMW dealer to swap the looms out. They quoted me 2.5 hrs labour at £230 which I accepted. Zed ended up being with them over a day as it was such a pig of a job to do. They gave me a loan car over night and honoured the original quote so not all main dealers are bad. You just have to find a good one. They should do reduced rates for cars over 4 years old plus I get a BMW car club discount. Some dealers realise that pricing inline with independants on older cars can pay dividends and keepo customers.

Tim.

I'm too old in the tooth to want to buy a new car/bike, and get work done by ANY dealer. Harley charge £90 ph last time I checked about 2 years ago, so BMW etc would be same or if not more. I'm trying to get a roof catch atm, went to Snows Bmw to get a part number but even after the receiption guy went out to have a look he couldn't decide what part I needed so said the 'Technician' would need to have a look at it. It was then that I decided to sprint back to the car and get the Hell outta there.
Whocanfixmycar is a good site. I got a few quotes for some work I requested and you can decide who is best to do the job just by doing a bit of research online. £70 for front pads compared to £110 the highest quote. The pads were a good make as far as Im aware.
Still looking for a roof catch though.
