It’s going to be a classic one day and tried to keep it original spec thanks for the comments though

As has been said, particularly by Pondrew, we’re not knocking you or the car but you’re on a specialist form where there’s a HUGE knowledge base about these cars and that invariably means that your audience knows the market very well.

My comment was in response to you saying it has all options that were available. I was merely pointing out that two of the biggest, and most sought after, options are missing.

The E89’s came with a basic, standard, and having had one, pretty awful stereo. There’s then a mid range , and top range, both cost options. I’ve also had the top spec one, and they’re worlds apart. Going by the limited interior pictures it looks like your car has the basic one.

The iDrive was again a very expensive option, which you don’t have, and again is slightly dated now but for a few hundred quid can be brought bang up to date and allow apple car play, android auto etc to be used.

You’ve been given a price comparison for a similar car, which you say you wouldn’t even consider, and you’ve PERFECTLY entitled to say that, your car, your choice but that’s what the market is showing.

GLWTS
Why do you have to be bloody 'nice'? Pisses me off. I wish I was as eloquent as you. :)

LONG time since I’ve been called nice, you on the wine early :poke:

Might be an idea to get a valuation on the private plate. Could be worth a decent amount!

In no hurry to sell as it’s my pride and joy didn’t know the market was that bad and yes you’re right summer is always a better time to sell a convertible but I can’t find any with this low mileage and as good a condition and spec as this online have seen one on auto trader same year with 46k and a 1.8 litre at £14500 so thought this was a good price for a excellent condition low mileage and full service history car but I’m open to reasonable offers if someone is serious about buying it

Erm, they never made a 1.8 litre e89 :?

It’s very green IMG_2374.jpegIMG_2101.jpegIMG_1795.jpeg

We moved back home last week after 16months of hanging around, so life is good.

If anyone is seriously interested in this car, I am very local so would happily give it the 'once over' for anyone. I promise to be nice OP.

I’d sat quietly whilst the usual suspects politely or otherwise pissed on your bonfire..I appreciate you are like many owners keen to maximise the selling price…

Three things

No E89 ever had halogen headlights..if you must list minutiae then they are Xenon….big n positive difference..

In terms of goodies..the car is from what’s listed a somewhat denuded toy..

No idrive
No decent sound system either 676 or 677
No extended blue tooth with media support
No usb support
No electric seats
No heated steering wheel
No cruise control
No adaptive headlights
No special paint
No special interior trim
Only a manual
No auto dim mirrors

You’ve got trim piece missing from the passenger door and scuffed interior vin plate

It’s an early N20 powered E89 with the earlier prone to failure cam chain assembly

So yes low mileage and I’m sure it was a much loved toy..

GLWTS

BMW professional sound system definitely has cruise control and automatic dimming rear view mirror usb and blue tooth connect to my phone yes your right xenon headlights and headlight washer too didn’t know anything was missing from the passenger door trim could you please let me know what that is thanks

So why write up something so cock eyed?

All E89s have certain features so why list them and then miss the things that were optional? :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Any car with Xenon’s has to have a wash system and be self levelling …

You list 11 items that all E89s have and then don’t list the things that could make a difference to a punter on a knowledgeable forum such as this ?

The door trim that covers the screw the holds the door card is missing..common thing that falls off when pax door is slammed

It doesn’t seem to have a 676/677 audio system judging by the picture of the radio…

If you wanted to be helpful and transparent a print out from a vin decoder would have helped you and punters..

And then you go and 'piss on his bonfire' more than everyone combined. You really are a piece of (ultimate arrogance) work, Peter.

Nigel....
If you want to try and sell your car on here start a new thread, reduce the price a bit and get details correct. Some good detailed pictures of the important stuff to show how well it has been kept too.

It does seem like a really, really good 20i, so highlight that.

You will not sell it on this thread now.

Didn’t realise how professional this forum was just thought it might be a good place to sell my pride and joy to someone else who would really appreciate it and look after it as I have and get some real enjoyment out of a wonderful piece of amazing German machinery

Hi Pondrew can you please enlighten me a bit more as to what is important information for you guy to see on here and what pictures you want to see
