In really rather good condition. From an auto si so this isn’t an smg steering wheel and should work with all auto cars. Comes with the new clock spring that has the extra connection required. £150 collection only Newark Nottingham.

They only had flappy paddles on the facelifts I believe or the smg. It’s quite straightforward retrofit, there is quite a decent video online if you google it. Basically your connecting the paddles to the connection points for up and down on your gear selector when in manual.

Does anybody know, would it be easy to swap the gubbins from a MFSW onto this wheel (and how)?
Yes you can swap the buttons over onto this wheel from a mfsw but this flappy wheel has chromeline trims so you'll need a chromeline mfsw. This is because the back trims are unique to the flappy paddle steering wheel and can't be swapped. They can be painted obviously.

Some very early steering wheels may not have the cut outs on the bare steering wheel. The rubber can be easily cut so you can run the wires and make room for connectors. It's not very common, I've only seen one steering wheel like this.

Out of the 4 steering wheels I have had in my hands, 3 of them didn't have the cuts in the rubber. Gives quite a lot of mess, removing it.

What do you mean “the cut-outs”? Only flappy paddles steering wheels have the cut-outs for the flappy paddles, when viewed from the rear. Otherwise I’d just be looking to install flappy paddles onto my MSFW rather than the other way round.

When the steering wheel is completely bare, you have the tri spokes, these have a rubber coating on them. On some steering wheels the rubber coating doesn't have the channels to run the wiring for the multifunction buttons. You will need to cut the rubber to allow room for the wiring.

If you use the mfsw and add the paddles to that then you'll need to drill the holes, which are marked, on the tri spokes for the paddles screws.

It all may be ok and you won't need to worry however I just wanted to mention it and seems Joel D above has had the same problem.
