How about a blast from the past - (what appears to be) an immaculate 1988 E30 325i with only 14k miles on the clock - quite tempting at £10k

Could have done with some more/better pictures but the ad has a fair amount of detail
 
I saw a "mint" e30 covertible when I first started looking for convertibles (and eventually got my Z) and they only wanted £2,000 for it, it was "high" mileage IIRC around 90k, but I think the price was cheap because it was a non original engine I think out of an e36, the engine thing actually seemed a bonus to me as its a newer engine but can see why it knocked the price down, would have been a really cool car to own but with the engine change it stopped it being an investment

Another 'garage queen' - bit like buying a jigsaw and not doing it. :thumbsdown:
 
Years back I had the opportunity to buy a mint Macau blue E30 M3 converible.
Rare! Like A t**t I did not buy it. Worth x5 more now.

It goes in the same category as the bargain Z1 with hardtop that I dismissed. :headbang: :headbang:


E30 Touring is a nice car.
 
E30 was my first intro to BMWs ( & german motors) at 26 , a 320i se in met black with the BBS crosswires :driving: i absolutely fell in love with the car & the brand
Had a weekender E30 convertible many years later that didn't live up to my memories ?
Favourite E30 feature ? The way the bonnet opened opposite way & closed with a gentle push of the palm on the bonnet badge :wink: class feature sorely missed on newer cars

I wondered what you were on about... then I looked at the ad again... when I posted earlier there were only 3 photos now there are 32 :lol:

Rare, nice, but not a "proper" E30 M3 :driving:
 
I see that a deposit has been taken on this rare low miler (I always wanted the 325i Sport saloon with its 170 bhp)
 
I've always liked the e30 Touring. Actually had a Lachs 320i Saloon back in the day.

Funnily enough, as I looked through that dealers "sold" cars my old Defender was amongst them. I'd sold it privately to a guy from Hertfordshire about 2 1/2 years ago. Some interesting dealer comments about never off roaded. When I bought it, the underneath was in a real mess. Not rust, just mud and crap from 1/2 of Oxfordshire. Once cleaned and waxoiled in was like new.
