BMW delivery times...

How long do people wait for a vehicle once ordered? In the UK BMW often quote months for delivery - here in the UAE the local dealer apologises if you have to wait for more than two weeks and that includes any additional spec that you ask for.
 
Think it depends entirely on what you're ordering.

If you wanted a 118d, you'd probably get it quite quick, whereas a Z4 35iS would probably take a lil longer :)
 
7-8 weeks for our z4 havana, but we declined back then, the dealer just happened to buy one in 3 months later, which we bought at a discounted price :D
Although not to total spec we wanted was not the worst deal on earth. And worked out better financially etc. :thumbsup:
 
Just picked up my Z4 a few hours ago, order placed on the 26th January 2010, so 6 weeks, I think that was pretty damn good, well done Dick Lovett, Bristol
 
The first Z4 I ordered in June 2003, delivered in March 2004 ... that was a long wait.
 
Seems like some people have had good 'waiting' experiences but I still cannot understand why in the UK we wait weeks/months and out here it's less than 2 weeks and often days...?
