BMW Dealership Sticker

What is the way to remove a BMW Dealership Sticker from the rear glass window on the Z4. It never bothered me before but i was reading a post a few weeks ago in which someone uploaded a pic of their new Z4 and someone made a comment that they should remove the BMW sticker... now mine is starting to annoy me :?

I do not want to mark the window so i was hoping some of you guys have removed yours without any problem, thanks in advance guys...
 
Depending how long its been on there depends how hard it can be to remove. I did mine straight away and cleaned up any glue with some label remover.

It its been on a while then a razor blade may be required but be extra carefull due to the heated window stripes.
 
my z4 didnt have them but on other cars i just picked them off and used a little glass cleaner to get any residue/marks off.

its one of my pet hates. if/when i buy a new car i will be telling the dealer to make sure there is non on before i pick it up.

Why should the dealer sticker be removed???
 
I've generally used a haidryer and warmed the sticker and glass up gently and they peel off with ease.
 
i hate advertising dealerships. stickers, numberplate text/badges and surround are the most common and annoying.

if you ever get your car valeted they always sneak a sticker in behind the rear view mirror where you dont notice it for a while. :headbang: :thumbsdown:
 
I've normally used the hair dryer method. Use a medium heat, just enough to melt the glue. Clean off the remainder with a squirt of WD40 and then glass cleaner.

X3 Works a treat then some AG ITR will remove any residue left behind.

Agree on above do not like any sort of adds or stickers on my car thats why i de badge have plain plates (now illegal :x have to buy some legal ones for MOT ) like a nice clean look

cj's method is what I've always used too. A bit of white spirit works well too if you don't have anything else. I dislike advertising and clutter in the windows too, and like GAZA62 my numberplates are technically illegal: they don't have the BS-kitemark or the postcode/name of the shop that produced them, but are legal in every other way though (font, spacing, etc).

The worst stickers are the Arnold Clark bright yellow ones up here in Scotland - truely terrible.
 
Shoudl have said I remove the stickers as I don't see why dealers should get free advertising, Hate them with a passion - there everytime I look in the mirror or open the boot...

Number plates - you can get legal ones with very faint wrting of the manufacturer, postcode and kite mark. They are not all giant Fisher Price fonts :wink:
 
Luckily I don't really have to worry much about MOTs due to my father-in-law's connections :wink: otherwise I'd be looking for a link to those plates cj.
 
I asked the dealer to take it off when I picked mine up, they kindly obliged but in doing so took off some of the rear screen demister preventing the top two lines form working, they had to replace the whole roof for me! So be careful!!
 
I just peeled mine off and then cleaned the area with Autoglym glass cleaner. Looks much cleaner without all the clutter.
 
Cool... i am going to take mine off tonite, just want to make sure i don't leave or make any marks, thanks again for all your help

X2, thats exactly why i remove them, Got my wifes new car from Arnold Clark in Grangemouth, they were quick enough to remove it when i asked for a discount for advertising. Got a bit of a weird look from the salesman at first but then commented that he had never thought of it that way.
