BMW Comprehensive Insurance

Hi Everyone

Still looking for a Z4. Does anyone have any experience of the BMW comprehensive insurance/warranty that you can buy direct from them?

I'm looking to purchase privately and wanted some warranty if something major goes wrong and the BMW warranty is cheaper than the warranty wise / warranty direct products and is from the manufacturer.

Just wondered if anyone had bought or had to use this at all?

Cheers.

I've so far had very good experiences with the AUC and subsequently extended warranty when I renewed, the breakdown cover/Assist is great with the replacement car included. It is pretty steep car dependent, and to buy into the scheme opposed to extending or getting with a used approved car is much more expensive. I think it is fortified by Mondial....

I recently submitted some details for an 8 year old 3.0Si Roadster and was quoted £549.00 for 12 months including the emergency cover which seemed very competitive from the manufacturer. The only proviso that I could see was a declaration stating that the car had been fully maintained.

That's not a bad quote at all, faulty window regulator and that's as good as covered already from the dealer! That's one thing, they do ask for a fully maintained service history. The previous owner of my 3.0si had RAC cover on it before I bought it and he had a few issues fixed with no quibbles, that had been maintained well but at specialist garages rather than main dealerships..
