Don’t bother with the social side of it though.
The track day is about 30% cheaper than a normal one - so £50-£100 per event - but the added benefit is that its always open pit lane, and there’s only about 30 cars there. They do it so cheap as they’re only covering the cost, not trying to make a profit.R60BBA said:mmm-five said:Even on a totally selfish basis, I find it’s worth it for the relatively cheap, and quiet track days. Selfish reasons are fine, after all we are all BMW drivers![]()
On average how much do you reckon you save on track days and parts by being a BMW Car Club member each year?

Parts/insurance are more difficult to quantify as you’re limited to where you can go or use, but I used to get 10-15% off main dealer labour - as long as I didn’t fall for the normal “already removed from the total, sir”.
It’s just the BMWCC organised trackdays/better driving days - there’s about 8 a year.R60BBA said:mmm-five said:The track day is about 30% cheaper than a normal one - so £50-£100 per event - but the added benefit is that its always open pit lane, and there’s only about 30 cars there. That’s not too shabby. Is the discount specific to BMW only track days or are they applicable to other track days across the country?
I rarely use the forum, or read the magazine, or go to the regional club nights/events.grumps said:I tried it for a year but there was too much bickering on the forums for my liking so I didn't renew it.
