before I start burning CDs, does anyone already know if the basic BMW Business CD player can play AAC encoded music files from a CD?
Google isn't helping me today

I know mine plays MP3,
and the manual only says it can "play CDs with compressed audio data, e.g. MP3 or WMA"
which to me means, "these are just some of the formats it can play"

AAC is what sony use iirc, and i very much doubt it could. As MP3's are one thing, but not many play anything else, well std BMW one anyway. Give it a go on a CD, sure you can lose 30p

I'll dump a variety of codecs onto a disc in a while and find out

although this says it doesn't play AAC also

Isn't AAC Apple/iTunes format,on itunes i'm sure you can convert AAC so you have a MP3 version as well but i may be wrong

ho hum :(
tried various formats but only found MP3 and WMA to work (both cbr and vbr)
only WMA v2

failed on
wma 9 (Pro / Lossless)
wav
aac
ac3
aiff
alac
flac
wasn't really expecting most of those to work, but was hoping for aac
