Hey!

I am looking for replacement black and white BMW badges to put on my blinkers. The previous owner had them painted in white, as you can see in the pic below, but the paint is now wearing off!

Does anyone know where I can find something like that? For example, I found this full set on ebay (but I just want to change the two): http://www.ebay.com/itm/A-Whole-Set-Of-7-Black-Carbon-Fiber-Car-Badge-Emblem-Steering-Wheel-Center-Caps-/281166178901?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3ABMW%7CModel%3AZ4&hash=item4176cf6a55&vxp=mtr

There's a chap in the UK who does all sorts of badges and will ship overseas - [email protected]. Send him an email and ask him for his brochures. You may find some other shiny stuff in there you like too

You have two options -

1. Boot/trunk badges - same size as the repeater badges, you just snip off the lugs on the back and use silicone adhesive and/or double sided 3M tape to stick them on. IIRC they were £13 each when I bought my black/silver carbon ones

2. OEM style - these need no modification and come with locating holes on the back for the small lugs on the repeater itself (you will know what I mean when you take the old ones off). Not sure if they come with adhesive tape on them or not, but easy to secure the same way as above if they don't. These are more expensive - can't remember how much, but £20-25 each sounds familiar.

When you replace them make sure you put the new badges on the right way up, otherwise you need to strip all the adhesive off and start again. Like I did :headbang:

Second time round I took the repeater off the car and marked the top centre on the back of the lens before taking the badge off. Just twist the repeater firmly anti-clockwise and pull out, remove the bulb holder and leave hanging outside the hole in the wing. Then use a very thin craft knife or similar to cut the adhesive between the badge and the lens.

Happy to help - figured it was easier answering the questions I knew you'd have before you asked them
