BMW AUC tax?

I doubt any AUC car would come with roadtax . you be very very lucky on occasion but it certainly wouldn't be the norm .
it would be for the buyer to cover unless you really pushed a deal

You need to add it into the equation, usually you do the deal and then tax is added on, so if you want it included in your price you need to be clear on that, especially if it's a top rater you are looking at (which I'm sure it will be!!).

:D

So you'd need to go and physically get it from the Post Office. Would you get any amount of time as grace do you think?

PS the first year higher tax amount is IIRC non-refundable so anything <12 months will be taxed.

The dealer will arrange it for you, you just need to give them the cheddar and they will do the rest.

A lot of manufacturers are offering 7 days free insurance cover now so you don't need to mess around with insurance cover notes for them to tax it, they arrange 7 days cover then you have the opportunity of accepting their quote for a full policy after that.

No you wouldn't drive the car away untaxed , the dealer would tax it for you prior to collection but the cost would be rolled into the figure you paid

My zed came with AUC and dealer told me that they would tax it for a year as well. I was very happy as I didn't need to ask, haggle at all. I was suprised though as usually when I have bought cars in the past the road tax was an extra cost which I had to pay.

Yes, they gave me the 7 days free insurance which they then use to get the tax with. They advertised my car which had the price of 12months tax included.

They did it for me on the day when I was there collecting the car. Only took as long as it took me to drink a cup of tea, and eat some home made cake (Sopers).

Hey guys just some insider info.

I work for BMW and im a Used Car Sales Exec. We sell AUC cars and include 12 mths MOT, warranty, breakdown and a servic e if required within 4k miles. We never include tax unless its on the car already and the customer is aware of whats left.

Hope this helps

Cheers Matt, it does.

I've literally just done the deal on an AUC but they've not mentioned tax once during the deal making process. On the order form under tax it says 'balance' so I presume that means whatever is left on it.

Knowingly my luck recently, that will be about 4 days then!

Just waiting for delivery day :)
