Needed to call these chaps today, not for the Z but the 5 series which had 'lost' a wheel nut.
Backstory is that I was cleaning my 5 series this afternoon and notice one wheel nut missing. It had been into the workshop recently to have a valve problem on the same wheel sorted out and the nut had either not been replaced or had worked free. Called the dealer and spoke with my salesman, explained that I need my car for a long run tomorrow and during the week, knew that parts were closed but could he help (i.e. could he take a nut off a showroom(used) car and replace it on Monday). Jobsworth salesman couldn't possibly do that as I wasn't a trained technician and therefore unable to fit replacement parts to my car and neither could he.
BMW assist chap came out and took one of the nuts off his car and bolted it to mine. We then spent a happy 10 mins talking about my TR6 and classic mini both of which I am more than capable of full rebuilding if needs be!
Silly, politically correct, litigious world we live in.
