Hello everyone...new to the forum. This likely has come up before but I have a 2006...left the top down over a summer shower...now the bmw assist comes on every time I start the car...use the brake,,,comes on multiple times each driving experience. Any way to disable this feature??? Thanks :headbang:
By the way this is a 3.0i 6 speed....I am amazed by the power the engine seems to have!!!

Last time I checked Maniac I think the cars can automatically alert BMW Assist after an accident etc when the cars have the systems installed.

I presume this is what triggers?

The US version of BMW Assist is a good bit different to the UK/EU version.

That 'oddment tray' between the handbrake and rear cubby is where the US have their BMW Assist buttons (one for emergency, one for breakdown).

That's my point, its a recovery service (or whatever you want to call it, emergency, breakdown etc) hence why I asked for clarification. But I did not know it was in a different location for the US cars.

Yea...the buttons shown are how you activate manually but it is activating on its own numerous times every time I drive the car. :x
