Hi, does anyone know how long BMW Assist is provided free of charge on a new Z4, and what the subscription charges are to renew? Also, is this service worth having?? Thanks.
 
Just looked, now 36 months from new, it used to be 12 months. Probably worth keeping it on just for the remote unlocking if you leave the keys in the car.
 
Thanks Wondermike. I don't think the information in the link gives prices, which kinda makes me think it will be expensive. I read that in th US it is about $240 a year, which would mean about £160. That feature where they can locate your car anywhere from Assist HQ, surely that is equivalent to having a tracker in the car? Apart from the unlock feature, all the other benefits can be had by using a mobile phone. Come to think of it, if you lock your keys and your mobile in the car, how do you call BMW Assist to get it unlocked!!
