BMW assist subscription

Hi all

I am out to buy a E86 which has BMW assist on it and was wondering how I will find out weather the BMW assist needs its subscription updating and how I would go about that and how much it may be.

Also if it's up to date and with the tracker programme will that make my insurance cheaper in the UK ?

Can't believe any will have an active assist subscription.

Tracker unlikely to have much affect on insurance if any. Also if from factory it probably isn't working properly either by now.
 
Yeah I didn't think It would be active.

May just ring BMW and my insurance to see if it's worth it and if there's any benefits.
 
Activating my tracker increased my insurance. Yes increased.

I never bothered with the assist either. I'm not even sure if they offer it now. The new models have a different name, so it maybe a different service
 
Rang my insurance to see what it will do and they said I will get a £15 refund !!! £15 ! Not even worth the effort other than having priece of mind !
