BMW Assist (S612) without call/SoS button (61316906953)

Hi everyone!

I always loved the Z4 and 4 weeks ago I finally was able to buy a Z4M roadster to be my weekend car.

The car has been modified by the previous owner(s) to be more "modern" (ex with Bluetooth/USB) and other things, and who installed these things was not very careful, so I'm currently working to:
- remove unnecessary/buggy modifications and reinstalling original parts (ex CD-changer)
- replace scratched/broken trims

Checking the VIN decoder, I see "BMW Assist (S612)", which I guess has the "call/SoS buttons (61316906953)", but I don't have the buttons on the rear/center console, and when I look for the 6-pin white connector that should be connected to it, I don't find it where it should likely be and the rear console trim is out, so it is easier to check, the connector in the photo is a different one connected to the phone tray (Snap in Adapter).

So, is it possible to have the "BMW Assist (S612)" but don't have the "call/SoS buttons (61316906953)"? If that is possible, it might be my case, but if it isn't possible, I can try to remove the center console to look for it.

btw: I have heard I might need to pay a high fee to re-activate the service, in case I want to have the service, that it might not be working anymore because of change of the mobile signal, etc. but it isn't the key point. I'm just looking for getting most of OEM things back in place.

Thank you!!!

In the UK, it's a basic subscription service that you access through the computer or phone.

Gives you concierge services and such, but not much else.

In the US/Canada (I think) you have a button behind the handbrake, but we don't.

Thank you for confirming! I wasn't sure if it was one more MOD, as I saw other people removing the SoS buttons to install the oddments tray, or if it was indeed correct to don't have the buttons. Less one thing to fix :)
