BMW APPROVED = RAPE?

Seems to be a fair bit of flex in the prices they are advertising, so worth seeing how much you can bring them down. I bought mine from a main dealer and got 1k off the original price with a bit of negotiation :wink:

I have to admit though, I saw some fairly 'optimistic' prices from some BMW dealers before I bought mine....I suppose it's like anything else, they will charge as much as possible whilst still keeping people interested. I guess a lot of people just aren't prepared to spend 12k + on a private sale without having the protection of a comprehensive warranty etc.

Hmm they must really be doing such a good job on their AUC checks with all this warantee work being undertaken.... :wink:

I took a gamble and bought a private car and saved ~3-4k over a comparable dealer sticker price. Thats not a bad slush fund to invest in a private warantee (Tescos etc ~ £450 per annum) or just to pay out to have things fixed if and when they break. Isn't the renewal on a non 'm' ~ £800 and ties you into bmw dealer only servicing perhaps (yet more bending over and they rarely do a good job it seems).
 
The checks should have picked up the roof and the tyres, which is about £1k worth. I shouted at them and got some free labour but it was bad...be vigilant!!!
