BMW anti chip film

I've been pondering for a while about fitting some antichip film on the sills in front of the rear wheels when I came across a post on ZPost where a fellow owner has fitted some BMW clear film that is fitted to the 6 Series. Pic of it on his Zed.

Its not an exact precise fit but I think good enough and will hardly show on silver or I guess you could get the 3M film and cut to size. I was thinking of trimming the BMW part but told its quite thick.

Anyways its part number 9 on the RealOem diagram and is around a tenner for the foil kit as BMW call it, from BMminiparts.

Cheers,

Tim.

I bought some film off eBay, made my own template cut it out, flipped template over and cut it out again for a perfect match on other side.

Simples!!!

Quick delivery from BMminiparts :) Its definitely thicker than the usual 3M film so will fit them and hope it gives some protection :)

We will need before and after pics! :)

I think the fit of that piece looks fine, doesn't look like it came from another car. Better than trying to trim a larger piece IMHO.
