Evening guys,

nice and simple one, anyone swapped the roundels for the 50th anniversary pieces?

Am I right in thinking these celebrate 50 years of 'M' cars?
Mine is not an M so of course there is no way I would risk the ridicule of fitting them. :D
 
I have been thinking of doing it but as they have been made for modern M's it seems like getting a badge to go on the bonnet of an E85/E86 is impossible, whether you look for genuines or copies. The others seem fine as 82mm for sides and rear, 68 for wheels and 45 for steering are common. Also as enuff said, I don't have an M so it would probably be a bit silly.

I was looking at the size of the badges too and as you say they don`t seem to be doing all the sizes . If they did become available I would probably get them as I prefer the heritage design more than the " normal " BMW . I look at the badge as more of a celebration of the motorsport heritage rather than just for an "M" car like the "M badge " but would accept being flamed for fitting them .

Looks good but as they say in the post "yes i just picked up a couple badges sadly we can only get the rear badge because they dont make the front badge size" .
 
tempted to knock up some templates at work and stick them over the stock badge :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:
 
Recently looking online for different badges . I found that lots of bmw motorbikes have a 70 mm fuel tank badge . Some nice metal / different ones on etsy . Maybe bmw make anniversary ones designed for bikes that can work on cars ?
 
right ... sod it..... ill make some vinyl overlays. will report back once iv got them printed, cut & installed.
