Seems there will be a 2 week shutdown at Magna starting Monday

Rapidly going past wanting this Z4. People who ordered their new M3 Comp with X-Drive in November have taken delivery in March. Still waiting for a Mid 2021 order.

[ref]F1SpaceMonkey[/ref], the problem I’d face in your position is what to do if you cancel now. There’s not much else in this part of the market that I’d be looking to get into and of course, it’s very unlikely to be any better re supply as they’re all having issues.
Saying all that the arsey bit in me, if you’ve not already done so, would be contacting BMW U.K. HQ and asking what compensation they’re going to offer to make things right when you know, and can evidence from on here, that many people have ordered after you and have been enjoying their cars for months

That's true. When I ordered mine, the dealer told me the tech pack might cause some struggles to secure build slot but at that point, they were not 100% sure. They just kindly passed the information to me and let me decide. That's part of the reason why I didn't order tech pack for my car.
Regardless of this, I still think waiting for a year without any update is ridiculous. As you said, many people (non-M, non-Youtuber), who placed the order after that with all boxes ticked, have been enjoying the car for months.
Reading the comments in the latest JA upload, it would seem that there are a number of veiled angry posts questioning the lack of first in, first out processing that seems to be going on. No doubt they remain unanswered, or you may get a JA snarky response if you are lucky.
