Spotted a z4 35i auto , will it be 7 speed dct ? The car is a 2009 with satnav , 296 alloys , 65000 miles .
Anything to look out for ? Car is at a main dealer so full warranty .

Yes it is DCT,

Look out for cracked alloys (very common)
What warranty are they offering? Bare in mind that over 60k miles the annual warranty you can purchase is doubled in price. So its typically £400 for sub 60k cars, so you would be looking at £800 ish.
Does it have full bmw service history? Additionally look for receipts of work carried out, and gauge how well it has been looked after. Ohh and the run flats suck......

Hi yes full bmw service history as it is a auc car , warranty 12 months off them , will look into next year , will also ask for previous work on car , looked at previous mots on gov website looks like it had a new wheel or repair 3 years ago on the front , mentions cracked or chipped windscreen for 3 years on advisory s but not this year . Possibly missed !
I have a 2009 3.0i e89 6 speed , 43000 miles will there be much difference ?

Much difference in terms of?

Speed wise a good amount, depends what sort of difference you are after. Obviously the dct is very different to a manual etc. What are you wanting from this change, more speed or extras?

I have taken it up with big cheeses at BMW as I ain't happy, I am down 2k. Will keep you posted!

If it had an issue would they not repair it under warranty?

They would repair but not under warranty at their cost, they are just being funny about it, the service not being done was the finish for me as the salesman promised it had been done, no checks on the car makes me think what else has been missed. Car asked for a litre of oil last week, and another day before they got it back.
