Soooo I'm looking to replace my 19" 296 bmw wheels for something forged

What I would like to know is the full spec of this wheel , I,e the weight , PCD , offset etc

Does anyone know this info ?

Planning on re using my tyres as they are new Potenza all round

Any replies appreciated

I'll be keeping them to return the car to standard when I sell up , they are a nice wheel the 296 but appear to be made of chocolate

Will be looking for a stronger and lighter wheel to replace them

Let us know what you go for to replace the 296 alloys.

We changed over to non-RFTs MPSS a month after picking up our AUC Z4 and we've fortunately not had any issues with cracks in three plus years. We are also running the Eibach pro kit and have had the camber adjusted on the rear to be less aggressive.

Just a thought, would it not be cheaper to keep your current wheels and just ditch the run flats? :D

....car will be quieter too

That would be the sensible choice but fancy a set of nice shiny rims :D

Okay what about these

you have good taste my friend ! , will it matter the rears are 1/2" narrower than oem ?

They are lovely wheels though

If you go to the OZ website you can see how they look on your car too, happy hunting

well not quite pulled the trigger on the wheels yet , I'm quite fond of the AXE EX15

My question is for those who have aftermarket wheels , did you keep with the staggered OEM fitment ?? whats the advantages of sticking with it ?

Z4 E89 8x19 front ET 29 12,60
Z4 E89 9x19 back ET 40 13,23

Above is the OEM fitment

If I went 8.5 x 19 all round would it upset the handling ?

I could go 8.5 x 19 front and 9.5 x 19 for the rear with the AXE wheels to keep the staggered fitment

Anyone experienced any rubbing etc with aftermarket rims with wider tyres ?

Assuming you keep to OE sized tyres you'll tighten up the front turn in a little bit & introduce a small amount of lateral bounce compared to stock wheels. Both of those are going to be a good things handling wise given OE tyre profiles. You may find you need to add a spacer at the rear to balance the look of the car, if it's between 5 & 10mm you may have problems.

This is possible, there's plenty of space in the rear arches to accommodate the 0.5" increase in rear rim width.

If you've got rubbing then you've gone radical with the off-sets. At 9.5J any offset over ET35 should be okay.

Thanks for all your comments buddy !

I'm just waiting to hear back how heavy the aftermarket wheels are , I wont be fitting anything heavier than the oem
