Body work is in superb condition with only a few very small stone chips to the front bumper and bonnet as to be expected with a car used on motorways mainly and some very small rub marks on rear passengers side bumper (pic taken of this but please do not confuse the reflection of the white line of the parking space with the marks, the marks are barely visible) also there are a few small almost invisible hairline scratches to be expected and a very very light/shallow and small inprint to the rear passengers side wheel arch (barely noticeable)

Interior in superb condition with some small marks on the drivers seat from getting in and out, the lines in the cloth seats you can see are meant to be like that and are not wear marks (see other 1 series interiors and they will be the same)

Just one other thing I should mention which I noticed the other day is in regards to the physical fuel gauge on the dash, for some reason which i suspect is sensor related, it has stopped going all the way to full if the tank is full, it goes to just over 3 quarters full. it then holds there until the fuel is actually at that point in the tank then it Just goes down as normal with fuel usage. It's not a major problem at all and just seems to be a sensor issue in the top of the fuel tank, but it would cost more than its worth to drop the tank to get to it to replaced. All of the digital trip computer etc are absolutely fine and work without issue but the digital remaining miles also work off that sensor so when you fill up it will say for example 310 miles left (should say just over 400 to a tank) then after you drive for another 100 miles it will get to 200 miles left, it then corrects itself along with the physical guage and will go back up to 300 miles left and run down from there correctly.

EGR valve will need replacing £150 new or £30 second hand on ebay, this however does not affect the car adversely whatsoever it drives and runs as normal, it only regulates emissions, a non working EGR does not affect the engine or auxiliaries nor does it fail emissions tests. Working it Just recirculates exhaust gasses to reduce emissions Common issue on newer diesel cars which a lot of people just remove as they are not needed as they even decrease performance.

The heated mirrors have some discoloration on the film (easily fixed but never hindered me) which happens on most heated mirrors after time.

Sensible Offers welcome and as I have been as honest as possible with this listing please no timewasters or silly offers please, I dont sell cars for a living and this is a genuine sale of my own car due to redundancy.

The car is valued at the moment for just over £5000 (see pics for valuation) standard, this is without all of the optional extras added, this was a £24000 car new!

Any questions or to view and test drive then please ask or call on 07921 800 769

With an 11 gallon tank, shouldn't the range be reading 450-500 miles when full at your average 45-50mpg, or is there another 'sensor' issue there too?

That's correct hence why I said "for example" ...... that range is subject to change according to how the car has been driven recently. For instance that "example" range I used would be if the car had been averaging around 38mpg which is more of a real world average mpg for running around town with a little motorway use which most people interested will be doing.

Theres no need to be facetious with me quoting my "alleged sensor issue", if you're not interested in the car then don't bother commenting.

My cars valued at 10k for a private sale according to that website...im trying to get 8k for it.

Cheers nightyard, yea it does seem to be the top end as I did a paid for valuation on the AT site and it said between 4500 - 5200 dependant on condition with the milage and optional extras, in all honesty I am after £4600 so flexible on the £4995 advertised.

And if I wasn't made redundant I would probably keep it and run it for many more years as I would not sell such a decent car for peanuts, I have never had a car that handles so well and has the drive that this does, but needs must!

Thanks again bud and good luck in selling yours!

Yea it's not an ideal situation I'm in, so joined the forum to respond to someone's wanted listing for a 120d http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=55042 and whilst I was registering thought I would start this thread to help me get exposure for the sale.
