Just bought one today, the first mod is to remove the M badge. Why oh why, its not a ///M...

Saw the M4 in the flesh, wow...

A fine purchase sir. and you are quite correct about the M sport branding. Better to loose those badges IMHO also.

Then you can still tell yourself it's an M, even though you no it's not an ///M and no one else need suffer your pain. :? :?

///M badges or not who cares, i hate all this ///M inner snobbery tbh, i think its really boring, especially as their hasnt been an ///M car thats been totally ace for a long time....
i like seeing the ///M badges on the trim level models, as i like the look of the badge. i also like the fact the badge can make something alittle more ordinary feel a touch more special. Couldnt care less if they are on a normal bmw or a ///M model.

There is a difference between M Sport and a pure M car...as we already know. However there are some less knowledgable folk who think they are the same!......can understand why you removed the M badges

And the best bit about M Sport nowadays is that you can opt out of having M Suspension!

How have you found the new car monkadill? first impressions?

I'm off to stick some ///M badges on me Bennington Blaze, wot oh. :D

I saw a Prius the other day ///M badged, I kid you not. Clearly others out there seem to have cottoned on to the what now is an ///M joke.
This was after, not before, I de-badged mine :poke:
It just looks so much cleaner to my eyes than having the silly badges stuck over the car, particularly on the rear of the coupe.

I don't pick the 120d up until Tuesday "Fast3000". The test drive was ok, perky engine, great cabin. Its a means to an end and will ensure the z4m is preserved for sunnier days. Ill post some pictures of the car on arrival, its an ex demo, so fully loaded.

I didn't mean to kick the ///M badge hornets nest but i have to admit i get a chuckle out of it.

Fuc#ing right! :happyclap:

Very nice!
Am a big fan of grey in any case, however, I've been really uninspired with the new colours and with a potential 4 series Gran coupe on order soon I've been debating on what colour.

Like the 1 series now and if it's packed with toys and punchy enough then I'd say that's a good buy!

i bet thats reminding you just how old the Z4 is, the kit that comes with the new cars now-days reminds you that the z4 is very much entering the modern classic phase!

Defiantly - but it also reminds me how good the z is. The 1 is a 22k car and tbh it doesn't touch the driving experience of Z.

I was thinking the same. Looking at these newer BM's with all the tech and stuff makes my Z4 seem quite dated and old looking now.
I shall call it a modern classic when people ask what the 'old thing' is outside!

But its still a better ride than than the new shape Z
