BM Autosport

get some of these if you want some nice looking rims, bit of a twist to the CSL classic
My advice would be to get 19"
and I'd suggest staying away from black as you lose alot of detail.

Thats what I'm worried about. I do want the black wheels as every example I've seen of a sterling grey running black looks amazing, but they all seem to be matte/anthracite/gunmetal so I'm just concerned the gloss black won't look as good. Definitely don't want the silver, as the 17" 103s i've got are silver so I want something a bit different.

Based on someones recommendation of CMWheels earlier I emailed them and they came back to me with these as a suggestion, which I really like and am considering. Anyone ever bought from CMWheels or had Dare wheels?

i have had dare wheels before on my old celica... thought they were very good and lightish.

Be interested how much your wheels are as 19" from CM.

I want to refurb my VMR's to gun metal... and the prices i have had are close to buying new wheels!

I will let you pick the type of Wheel but dealing with BM Autosport as the supplier is the best decison you can make. Great people, honest and excellent service. Dealt with them myself from overseas and happy to report everything went very smoothly.

@ aquazi: They're 18" for £440 + Delivery, but they 19" ones are £535.00. Pleased to hear you've had Dare wheels before and recommend them, thanks for replying.

@ powerontap: Agree completely BMAutosport have been excellent and i'll definitely use them in the future and recommend their service, Mark and Carrie have both been fantastic. Just a shame they don't have the ideal wheels I want at the moment.

"Ste,
I have just checked the stock of these and they are only on stock in Hyper Silver.
I am not 100% sure when the Matt Gunmetal Colour will be back in stock but it could be 4-6 weeks or so."

FFS why is this so hard. I have £500 waiting to give to someone who'll give me some gunmetal/dark grey/anthricite/matte black CSL-style wheels. Is that too much to ask? Really need to get some in the next few weeks because i'm running winters atm and it's hotting up 8)

Having a nightmare of a time

I've used him, Mark, nice guy.

I bought some wheels off him for my old 330, unfortunately I had a problem with them but he was very professional and offered advice sorting it out and eventually agreed to exchange them - I live in Bolton so it was a massive trek there and back for me but I would use him again if I needed some wheels and they were the right price (we came to an agreement on fuel for the return trip as well due to the problem being with the wheels rather than anything I'd done).

Solution..get the beautiful 313s

I like them on a Coupé and love them on a black roadster, but not quite as keen on a sterling grey one.

Think I'm going to have to settle for the gloss black CSL-reps from either CMWheels or BMAutosport :(
Or possibly these that lux good posted: http://i1343.photobucket.com/albums/o785/luxpic/bac1d66a219d1649ef0a87925c171214_zpsf6161b2a.jpg

Question: If I go up to 19" what sort of difference am I going to notice? Will they still fit fine? And what about tyre price increase?

Ta for all the help x

Having just gone from my 18" winters to 19" summers:

The 19's are noisier esp above 50mph. The harshness is not too noticeable in eibachs. They tramline more (from 225 and 255 winters to 235 265 summers)

But looks so much better :) 18's looks weedy and small in comparison! But the brake disks and calipers fill wheel better on 18's.

Tyre costs are about £100 more for all 4 tyres with 19's over 18's

Thanks aquazi.

Decisions decisions. I'm s**t at making them but impatient also - not a good combination.

Why can't someone just have the fucking wheels they advertise in stock for once :(

Ste, I've recently fitted CSL reps to my 3.0 si sourced from CM Wheels. I must say the service from Chris there was spot on. Mine are 19 x 9.5 rear et38 with Falken 453's 265/30/19. Fronts are 19 x8.5 et38 with 235/35/19 tyres. Previously the car was on 108's with Nankeng run flats. Car is on sport suspension which I believe is 15mm below standard. As for differences. Steering is slightly heavier and it does tramline a bit more on really poor road services. ride quality is a bit firmer but not uncomfortably so. I've had no issues with rubbing on the back but I've had a couple of instances where it has rubbed on the front wheel liners but again only on really uneven country lanes round where I live. I suppose it boils down to what's more important to you. I'm happy to put up with a few compromises in return for the looks 19's give. Others may feel ride quality and handling to be more important so stick with 18's.

Been speaking to James at CMWheels who says they're getting these back in stock in 5 weeks, so I think i'll have to wait until then unless BM Autosport get anything I like the look of in stock before then.

Figured if I'm paying close to a grand for a set of wheels and tyres I might aswell get something i really like.
