Not sure if ith my phone or the car?

My phone keeps dropping its bluetooth conection. I'm not sure if I should change the phone or go back to the dealer to have the car looked at.

(samsung galaxy S)
 
Thanks for that, I'll give it a try tomorrow.
If it doesnt work I'm due a new handset in the next couple of months so I'll be able to rule out the handset!
 
Thanks wegras, I did un unpair and a re pair and it seems to have worked ok!
It held a connection for a half hour drive home this aftrernoon and it auto connects each time now - it never did that before!
 
Skip my last post, afraid the phone Bluetooth link still keeps dropping :(

The phone stays connected in my other cars so I reckon its a trip to the dealers - Most likely to hear "They all do that" or "Its your phone that's faulty"
 
Do you ever turn your phone off?

I've sometimes found my iPhone needs a full reboot, wonder if that might help?
 
I did a un pair and a re pair of my Samsung galaxy and it still drops the link - The phone shows the connected symbol and the cars system shows that it is connected but ask it to do anything and it responds by telling you that a device should be connected!

I paired my wifes iPhone and it worked - Then that did the same thing. :(
 
Update,

The car went into the dealer today. At first the blame was against the samsung phone but I told them it did the same with my wife's iPhone and both phones functioned perfectly in our other cars.

They tell me they found a glitch in the software. Its been re programmed and it should be sorted. I live in hope!
 
Full re program. New and up to date software yet the Bluetooth connection still drops.

The problem has now been escalated with BMW tech and the car goes in for another inspection on Tuesday next week. Fortunately the techie has seen the problem happen.

They are now talking of a new combox etc. The phone works perfectly on our other cars so I doubt that there is a problem with the handset.

I still think a better plan would be to loan me a sales car for the day with my phone paired!
