Bluetooth

This is not the first potentially daft question I have posted here...

My Z is a 53 plate. When did they start equipping them with bluetooth ? and where in the computer settings can I establish if mine has it ? Is it possible to play music from a bluetooth device through to the Z's stereo ?

I have the version with the flip up screen on top of the dash.

According to edmunds.com, 2005 was the first model year. Not sure how reliable that is. I don't think bluetooth options show up on the computer menus, I don't have nav so I could be wrong. The only way you'll get music over bluetooth is to ring a business that has music on hold. You probably meant your own music though. No, you can't.

You can use a bluetooth device to play music through the Headunit you'll need and Aux-in lead and a bluetooth receiver.

I have the basic Business HU and i retrofitted the Aux-in lead to the back of the HU,then plug the Bluetooth receiver in to the Aux lead and pair you bluetooth device to the receiver and job done.

Aux lead.

If you start the car and press the R/T button on the steering wheel, the radio display will change to "searching...." if the car has a factory-installed bluetooth module. That means that it is looking for a cell phone to pair with.
