Bluetooth - with XDA Orbit II/HTC Polaris

Does anyone have experience of these, or similar XDA/HTC/Windows Mobile 6 Professional devices?

Just ordered a new phone, and hoping it works! My current Nokia E65 used to work just to receive calls, but stopped working a week or so back anyway.

Right, I have the phone now - and I paired it once and didn't work properly, so I deleted the pairing, and went to try again - but the car won't enter pairing mode.

I do the usual hold button for 3 seconds, turn to Pos1, release after 3 seconds - but nothing. :(

Any ideas?

Hmm. Try this. Turn the key to position two and then have your phone start a Bluetooth search. It may take a few tries, but once the phone finally "sees" the Bluetooth module in the car it will pair up again. It took about a full two minutes for the pairing to complete for me the first time.

It decided to work again after I left it for 20 minutes. Now I need to work out how the hell to use it with the MFSW!!

Do any of you guys with roadsters actually **enjoy** having bluetooth and find it useful?

I've had several phones (Moto RAZR, Blackberry Pearl, Treo 650, Apple iPhone) and nothing seems to work well in the roadster if I'm traveling above 30 mph. The only reason for me that it's nice having bluetooth is when I'm traveling top down at high speed I can see the caller ID on the NAV display.

In my 5er the bluetooth works great and I can't imagine having another sedan without it.

I like it, even though it's pretty much useless at high speeds with the top down. I use mainly on my way to and from work since most of the driving is in city traffic, so even if the top is down it's still usefull. I don't like to talk and drive anyway, but if it's an emergency I'll use it. Especially since NJ hands out some nice fines for using using your cell without a handsfree unit (a great idea personally).

Right, it was pairing fine, and I got the address book transferred fine. Next time I came to use the car, the address book was 'empty'. Any ideas?
