For the people thats got these, are they any good?

Am I right in thinking they just power the phone only, although provide a handy place to put your phone?

Only reason I ask is that the K800 one is now available and I'm tempted to get it.

If you want to try the snap in phone adapter make sure your console door will accept it. On my '06 U.S. spec. car the door needed to be replaced and the dealer quoted over $275 in parts. I passed on that particular bargain. :!:

Not just charging. It also uses the external aerial which is in the rear bumper

Should that result in better signal/performance then?
Yes, it does - well, if you already had 5 bars it's not going to really improve it but if you are driving through patchy areas it will help.

Might be worth holding off - the snap-in adaptors are usually all over eBay at good prices. None there yet, but give it a while.

Nice one

Oh, and I couldn't wait - bought one yesterday! lol

Saw one on ebay yesterday for £58 - am sure they'll be less in months to come but never mind
