Didnt you get on with it?

iPhone was fantastic piece of kit however I had zero phone receptin at home and since I run my business from there is was less than useless. Went back after a few days and one trip tot he US.

ULF's - you can go onto BMW's site and check phones by age and model, however each ULF has a large production overlap and who knows which went into which. You can only tell the ULF generation by part number from physical inspection so as far as I know there is no way of knowing for sure on a retrofit which phones will or will not work on a particular ULF generation.

Did you ever get the carpet with the bulge for the ULF'amajig? if so what was the cost?

Regards,

Soj

sojourn, if you havent got the ULF or the bulge in the carpet cant believe you have bluetooth installed, have you got the wiring?

Pairing is a bitch. I have a storm and took ages. Just keep trying. Ignition off, hold button down as turn key 1, 2, 3, release. Beep. (Whilst phone in discovery mode - actively searching). I think that is the sequence. It will work, just be patient!

Of course - it would be a horrible mess without. Can't recall the price but think it was special order from Germany, 3 days delivery at about £35.

Fitting is a challenge as it's clipped under trim all the way along the top edge. I cut the old out then fed the new under the trim to avoid more dismantling. If you do it be very neat in your work as the top edge of carpet is visible through the back window
