Bluetooth - paired and then disconnects

Hi all,

I don't seem to be able to pair my iPhone 6, or any of the family's 4/s/5/s with my roadster. It's the standard business CD player, not nav. I've found the code on the gubbins behind the seats, and as said, put it into pairing mode. It then beeps once as it connects then disconnects within about three seconds.

I've looked up the issue and tried resetting the settings on my phone, deleting the paired devices in both the car (button down for ten seconds until three beeps) and my phone.

Any other thoughts?!

Many thanks,

James

Hi James,

I had the same problem.

As soon as it pairs turn the car off - then turn the car back on (without holding the car blutoothe button) and it will be paired. I think its because once it is paired iot continues to look for other phones.

Hope that helps

Andrew

Not helpful I know but I found the built-in bluetooth with my E46 (assuming it is the same module as it was the same nav system) was always useless - only worked about 1 in 5 times I wanted it to. POS.

Hi Andrew, thank you for this - it could be just the ticket! It's currently having a winter health check at Haliwell Jones Wilmslow and I've asked them to look at it. They've also suggested software for iOS8 not being released until March... Something that also rings true on some other forums.
