thought this might come handy for someone here.colleague at work bought a brand new X1 few weeks ago and when he ordered the car, he ordered Navigation Professional with the belief that this comes standard with bluetooth connection,which is not the case and the salesperson messed up.
so,he had a few options,go for an after-market adaptor e.g. Parrot or similar;return the car and wait for the new one or as he found this option himself,go to Fiscon:
http://www.fiscon.co.uk/home they are located in Milton Keynes though.
they do a kit which enables you to use your current system and the monitor brings up your connection as the oem unit does.
unfortunately,it needs the CID and if you don't have one,this system in not compatible but otherwise if you don't have bluetooth but navigation unit,I think this will work.if you contact the guys at this company they will let you know,if the system works for you or not.
