has anyone had experience with any of those 12 pin bluetooth adapters? even though i see some posts about this topic i can't find one that fit the specification of my model, i have a 2003 Z4 3.0 with the regular stero, not the one with multi disc one, no aux. according to the website this little device its pretty much plug and play. ill leave a few pics of the device and hope you can help me make a decision on buying it or not.

I know theres a model called Groom but im hoping not having to spend that amount of money...

Interesting, where does it plug in though and how is the audio source selected on the stereo?

It appears to work as an aux device in the back of the head unit.

Tbh I think there are better devices out there that plug into the cd changer loom (all uk cars have this) that give better control over the device for just a little bit more.

I’ve got one of the blue music dongles that srhutch has shared the link for. It was easy to install and works well, discovered you can even change track from the stereo buttons which is useful.

I've also just installed the same item linked above at the weekend (also a 2003) - simple to do and works well. The price is bouncing up and down by a few quid at the moment for some reason.

It plugs in the back part of the stereo. You can use the next key words to find instruction videos: " 12 pin bluetooth adapter"
or watch the video on the next link

Even though i found a few like that one while i was searching, i didn't notice the different connections, this suggestion has been berry helpful.

Can you use the MF buttons on the steering wheel with this or the buttons on the head unit? I've been thinking about the options for that plus adding a microphone and get the power supply from inside the head unit, so the device stays on just when the headunit does, but it doesn't seem to be that simple...
