Hey Guys

i was looking for a solution to my lack of Bluetooth & Aux input. so i went to my local car kit guy, he told me the latest n greatest product for my car is the Motorola T605.

has anybody heard of this unit? it claims to connect to any bluetooth phone, dim stereo when recieving calls, has a 3.5mm input for aux and it plays music direct from your mobile phone using A2DP (via bluetooth). I think somehow it also gives MFSW controls too. :o

has anyone heard of or installed this unit into their Z4? would like to see one in action before i buy

doesn't quite look oem but should be able to mount it somewhere hidden/inconspicuous.

i found a site advertising it on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-MOTOROLA-T605-BLUETOOTH-CAR-KIT-A2DP-HANDS-FREE-UK-/390196076992?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Mobile_Home_Phones_Bluetooth_Acc_ET&hash=item5ad97fa1c0#ht_3463wt_1137

seems like a good price if it does what it claims

ok ive been looking into this option and it appears there may be a little issue - it seems you need a wiring harness http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=984 and a hands free switcher http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=1355 to make it plug and play. The harness is good as it eliminates the need for splicing cables, but the hands free switcher states "The HFS is a speaker level audio switcher designed for NON-AMPLIFIED AUDIO SYSTEM (*not* recommended for use in vehicles with factory amplifiers.)" does this mean i cant use the kit since i have the DSP stereo or can i still use it anyways?

Damn this DSP, makes life so difficult. really want to get an integrated bluetooth system working tho.

also came across a parrot competitor, looks interesting and feature rich (inc usb/ipod input) http://www.thecarkitcompany.com.au/index.php/products/store?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=31&category_id=6&manufacturer_id=5

ok scratch the motorola T605 off the list, there is a newer better model out Motorola TK30. it has the features of the T605 + OLED screen and USB input. (therefore it may even charge iphone, connect through bluetooth to iphone and play music from iphone, which ticks all the boxes for me). dont suppose anyone has info or advice on this unit? especially as to whether it can be fitted to a carver DSP stereo. :tumbleweed:
