Yes pretty simple, the carpet detaches at the back and you will see the wires into the back of the cd changer. Just swap over, check the thing works then button it all back up again.

Great, thanks, nice to know I won't be stuck with an FM transmitter, did you find the audio quality acceptable?

It depends what you define as acceptable really, in my case it’s a 20 year old vehicle now equipped with Bluetooth so can’t complain

I do find there is a bit of static or white noise when no music or playing at a low volume. I can live with it for the amount I drive the thing.

I fitted a similar one to mine a while back. The microphone seems fine.
Main issue I had was that regardless of my phone settings, the volume through this gadget was really quiet. Easy enough to turn it up of course, but woe betide you if you forget and switch back to the radio! I nearly went through the roof!!

I ran it along behind the dash, then a bit of velcro to attach it to the middle of the upper steering cowl, below and between the two instrument dials. That's where the OEM mic fits if the car is specced with one.
