BlueMusic Adapter

I love the discreet nature of this unit and the fact you can use the MFSW buttons to control playback once fitted - I'm not a big fan of additional wires / adapters in the cabin if I can avoid it.

I know this unit it plugs in to the adapters behind the seats if you have the 6 CD changer prep option but I can't seem to find any live listings on eBay or Amazon.

Does anyone have one they have previously removed and would be willing to sell me or a link to an existing for sale advert?

Many Thanks.

Hi Yorkshire puding.

This is what you need.I purchased one recently works perfectly on standard BMW Business headunit.

It's the last one in stock, so look sharp.

Reviving this thread as I’m looking for a Blue Music adapter - preferably with the hands free mic attachment too.

Anyone know of one for sale or where to get one with Amazon no longer listing?

I used this one, plugs into back of headunit plug and play i also have the 6cd changer set upScreenshot_20230107-094402_eBay.jpg

 Looks perfect. Does it just simply swap out for the changer block at the back of the headunit?
ebay listing says it needs hooking up to 12V+ and 12v- too. Plus does it support Nav?

Before you put the headunit fully back in feed the mike wire down and through lower dash trim joints feed wire back up between dash trim and steering column this way most of the wire is hidden ,then i connected the mike just behind left indicator stalk 20230107_120055.jpg

Many thanks again. Just ordered one.

 The hardest part was getting the vents out,but there is a couple of you tube vids to show you where the locking tabs are located and how to remove.

Great, thanks for this. I notice later you mention the vents, very firmly in place so will look for the vids when the time comes. Cheers

when you remove the vents you will need really thin small flat screwdrivers maybe 2,a plastic trim tool and a torch and ideally 3 pairs of hands, when you lift the tabs on vents keep tab lifted and use trim tool to ease out top of vent you may need torch to locate exactly where tabs are placed ,cant remember if tabs are pushed down or lifted up to release, once one side is free do other tab and pull out the
vent totally..
Hope this makes sense and may help.

I have the blu music adapter - wondering if can add a mic to it for phone calls?
Maybe just guessing but you would have to take headunit back out to plug mic in back of unit

Shall do when home, don’t remember seeing a port for the mic. Any chance anyone has a photo of the mic connection for the blu music adapter.

The basic bluemusic dongle I had and which connected to the CD changer cables in the rear bulkhead of the coupe didn't have provision for a mike. I changed to the version with a handsfree microphone facility which also connected to the same plugs. (bought directly from Christian Wittisch in Germany)
