whats peoples opinions of these? replaced my dipped beams few weeks ago and now i need to replace sidelights but seen some advertised with "blue tint" and got me intrigued as to if the normal dipped beams would look any good or not?
a lot of the newer cars have slight blue tint like the audis etc, is this due to the xenons/LED or can you get halogens with slight blue tints aswell?

Normally it is down the the xenons. You can get them in different brightness with OEM (whitish yellow) around 4300k. Anything above this is what gives them the bluish tint.

Blue tinted halogen bulbs won't get you the xenon look unfortunately.

I just replaced my hid's with philips white vision bulbs. They're blue tint but the light colour is yellowy white, rather than xenon look.

Hid's are the better choice, although they don't seem to like the 'auto lights' setting for some reason.

Philips diamond vision are probably better, but even then they're not going to give you the xenon look.

I put some Philips extreme visions in few weeks back and they still look pretty standard to me, was after something that looks a bit better/different from the norm really.
But I suppose without doing a xenon/hid conversion I'm out of luck?

out of curiosity, how much does it cost to get them upgraded to xenons/hid's ??

My set-up cost me about 50 quid all in. 2 bulbs with ballasts and 2 converters.

I went for 5000k for that pure white look.

oh right so not that much then, was it very hard/time consuming? im defo gonna look into this if its only about £50 for such a good upgrade

I can't mate, I bought them off eBay ages ago  they're just 5000k hid bulbs with hids direct.converters.

Hids direct are probably the best place to get them as they will have good customer service and sort things out if there are any issue's.

Here's what it all looks like when plugged in:
