Blue music help

Just a quick question… and apologies… I know these installs have been covered extensively on this forum but couldn’t find this specific answer.

The bluemusic seems able to be connected to either behind the front stereo unit or into cd changer cables in the boot.

Is there a benefit to one or the other?
Assume in the front is easier to access?

I have a 57 coupe with professional hifi and Sat nav…

Thanks in advance.

Not sure what your after but these are plug and play to back of standard stereo unit, not sure about sat nav version but this works fine and is an easy upgrade

I’ve just installed one of these, I think the functionality is the same regardless of where you install it but I don’t have the CD changer so mine is installed into the head unit.

If you’ve done head unit changes etc. before, I’d say the front connection may be better. I managed it with no experience but with relevant tools. Works a charm now and sounds so much better than FM Radio quality. I got a second hand Bluemusic unit from eBay off a guy who had bought it for his Z4 but his had the DSP. Mine doesn’t have any connection for phone calls but the car has that anyway so that didn’t bother me.
