The zed has been sat on the drive for four weeks now under its new cover so i decided to give it a run this weekend.Started first time but a couple of warning light appeared and dissapeared mid journey. Based on what i have seen on this forum and the amount of use its gonna get i have decided that i will need a charger. Lots of info on this subject but somewhere on this forum is a picture of a unit that can be connected to the battery in situ located in the boot and left on a trickle charge. Can i find it again!! Can i hell :headbang: Ctex unit is recommended also. Can i use this for the same purpose? Plug and play so to speak. Soz to go over old ground but i am a virgin winter zedder :D

I bought one from Lidl, looks exactly the same as the C-Tek and works perfectly. It will charge and maintain a battery. It doesn't have the permanent connection to the battery with the plug and socket, just crocodile clips, but that's not really an issue.

i also got the LIDL one for £15 7 couldn't be happier . a great product .
i attach mine to the points under bonnet on sunday evening when car hibernates until the following friday .
* should note Mp that directly connecting jumpleads or charger to battery is not advised although many have done without issue

i have a ctek, there is a lead you can permantly connect onto yoy battey, then you can plug the ctek unit on/off as required

Mr Wilks.
Sorry which point under the bonnet. The battery is in the boot? Think I am missing something here???

There's a charging point under the bonnet - you can connect a trickle charger there too

The CTEK is a proven unit.

The Lidl is a similair chinese copy which I would be afraid of leaving on overnight.

I have an Accumate that I connect via the terminal and ground point under the bonnet during the winter months when cr*p weather keeps me from driving the Zed. Seems to work nicely, but it is an older design and that CTEK is starting to look quite attractive.
