Bloody Royal Mail.....

Been waiting a week for my Zhp gearknob to turn up but sadly missed the postman this morning as I was asleep after a night shift. I got one of the dreaded we missed you red cards despite me leaving a note on the door asking for any parcels to be left outside the door.

I thought RM were scrapping these cards and being more co-operative in leaving parcels for people. Anyone know the score regarding this as now I've got to wait until Monday Grrr!

Could be worse. I was lying in bed last Saturday morning when my dogs started barking their head off. 6:25am. The 'parcel' postman knocking on the door!! Cheeky fecker then said "sorry, mate - did I wake you?" :headbang:

I wouldn't care, except the normal 'letter' postie can't get his arse round to our house before noon most days...

Yes, it is being rolled out nationwide (link here). Depends on your neighbour though - would not trust one of ours at all.... :x

6.25am?! That's keen!! Our postie normally not here until mid day at best so was early today.

My neighbours are good as gold, all oldies in my block so don't know why he couldn't just leave it with them or indeed outside the door as I asked!

I didn't think they were allowed to call before 7:00

RM can leave with a neighbour now, but don't think they can just leave it outside.

Me either. However, ours routinely sign for Recorded / Special Delivery items then leave then on the doorstep. Oh yes... on one occasion, one also helpfully left a parcel under my car. I have no idea to this day as to what logic he used for this, although it was shortly after I complained to RM after a being told that a parcel I had been waiting for for days was sitting at the local sorting office. Apparently, because I have "so many" parcels (!), they wanted to "save them up" until they could deliver them all in one go...

We live in rural Wales, so I can only presume that normal rules of service don't apply. Bunch of :censored:

My postie (a decent fella as well) says that they have been instructed by the suits not to leave with neighbours now!

So dont blame the poor old postie - its not his fault!

Our neighbours seem mostly trustworthy, but our postie took our stuff back to the sorting office and not with a neighbour...typical lol
