Bloody Pheasants!!

I was enjoying my drive to Dartmoor on Sunday only for a pheasant to decide to launch itself into the front of my car. I had a quick look and didn't notice any damage however on returning home and under closer inspection it's broken my lower gill and the fog light.

Even more annoying is that my front fogs are original and seem to be the only ones in the world without any condensation etc.

Now the gill has been clipped back in place and the crack is hardly visible so that's fine.

What can I do about the fog? The lens is fine, it's broken the pin the secures it in place so it's now looking droopy. Do you think a plastic weld would work here or even some epoxy resin?

Thoughts please.

P.s. apart from that, it was a lovely drive through the moors.

Thanks Roundozo, that's one less I've got to look out for when I head to Dartmoor this Wednesday albeit I'm not decided whether to take the Z or the dd.

Can't help you with the lens but I would have thought a bit of epoxy would solve that problem. Just give it plenty of time to set.

I don't understand how they aren't extinct. I don't know of any other animal that is so casual with its life! Obviously they don't conform to Darwinism.

I think I may as well try the epoxy. Nothing to lose.

Enjoy the drive. It rained a little while we were there but still a nice drive, even with the 40 limit. I can also see why in all honesty. Came around one sharp bend to find a sheep just chilling in the road.

I had a scary moment previously when a stupid pheasant flew smack into the cycle wing of my 7 and then bounced off the drivers side windscreen -and onto the roll bar . Made quite mess -in fact so did i as i recall .

sounds like you got off lightly - I hit a pheasant while driving and Audi S3... looked to have only knocked out the headlight washer cover, except it took the pump withit and broke the bracket that held the pump... which is moulded into the headlight unit itself...

that was quite costly :o

as for your question - I've no idea :D
